At Better Earth, our commitment to sustainability of our planet’s natural beauty is at the core of everything we do. It’s a commitment that drives our mission to harness solar energy for a better tomorrow but also inspires our brand’s identity and how we connect with our communities. In this spirit, we are thrilled to announce the debut of the Better Earth Camp and Station badges, a new initiative celebrating our local warehouses and offices while drawing inspiration from the rich legacy of the United States National Parks and their iconic patches and badges.

A Tradition Rooted in Achievement and Stewardship

The tradition of using patches and badges has a storied history, serving as symbols of affiliation, achievement, and identity. This practice dates back centuries and has been particularly prominent in organizations that champion outdoor exploration, conservation, and the appreciation of our natural environment. The United States National Parks system, with its unique symbols and patches for each park, embodies a commitment to protecting our nation’s natural wonders for public enjoyment and education. It’s a system that not only promotes conservation, but also fosters a sense of pride and stewardship among those who visit and support these national treasures.

Why Better Earth Camp and Station Badges?

Our decision to use the National Parks and their badges as inspiration for our localized warehouses was driven by a shared ethos of conservation, sustainability, and community. The Better Earth badges symbolize:

  • Our Shared Core Values: Just as the National Parks preserve natural beauty and promote sustainability, Better Earth is dedicated to reducing our carbon footprint and advancing renewable energy solutions. Our badges represent this shared mission, serving as a constant reminder of our commitment to the environment.
  • A Sense of Community and Purpose: These badges are more than just symbols; they are a call to action. They encourage a sense of belonging among our employees, customers, and the communities we serve, uniting us in the common goal of creating a sustainable future.
  • Local Pride, National Spirit: Each Better Earth badge is uniquely designed to reflect the local community’s identity and natural landmarks, while still tied to the overarching theme of national pride and environmental conservation. This approach highlights our nationwide reach but also our local impact and commitment to the communities where we operate.
  • Our Brand Identity: The badges offer a visually appealing and memorable way to communicate our values and identity. They will be featured in our marketing materials, vehicles, gear, and warehouses, creating a distinctive and cohesive image that resonates with our mission.
  • Camp vs. Station: Camps consist of our warehouses around the country. In California those include Menifee, Cerritos, Fresno, Concord and Sacramento. Beyond California, we have Phoenix, AZ, Dallas, TX, and Lakeland, FL. Stations are for employees that are not aways based directly at a Camp. Our three main stations are Core (Central Operations), Experience (CX,SX, People Ops, etc), and Global (Fully Remote).

Looking Forward

As we roll out the Better Earth badges across our localized warehouses, we do so with the hope that they will inspire our team, partners, and the communities we serve to join us in our commitment to renewable energy and environmental stewardship. Like the National Parks, which have long stood as beacons of natural beauty and conservation, we aim for these badges to symbolize our dedication to a brighter, more sustainable future.

We invite you to join us in this exciting new chapter as we work towards inspiring the world to create a better Earth. Together, we can make a difference for our planet and future generations.

The Better Earth badges do not just mark a new phase in our journey; they highlight the shared values into the very identity of our brand. It’s a celebration of where we’ve been, where we are, and the future we’re building together. Join us in embracing this legacy of conservation and community as we strive to make the world a better place, one badge, one solar panel, one community at a time.
